Does anyone undergo any routes i'm between lincoln and Newark tried looking on OS. I know that there's the viking way but any others? Also what stretch of the viking way would be beat?Cheers!
Looking at the viking way on multimap it appears to be footpath and bridleway for its entire length.
Lincolnshire seems to have very few tracks that are legal. I would head south to Cambs or South West to Leicestershire or exceed comfort West to the Peaks if I were you. If you are determined to find the few local trails. I would suggest going along with this lot:
Franky - buy the Aug 07 air (be 144) of TBM magazine as they have a feature on a group out riding....... the Viking Way!Or go on the TBM forum as some of the lads on the ride-out are forum regulars so you may find the info from them.
where's the viking way?i've just moved into linconshire i be in sleaford but bring home the bacon in newark but i don't know of any where if you do find some where could i arouse my self along?
Yeah no worries.... just got to sight somewhere decent.. sounds like a day out just to go looking!??
spotted two likely looking enduro bike's on the a17 this morning on my way to bring home the bacon this morning so there must be some where close-ish
That would undergo been me and my mate! 2 crm's?? found some trails but nothing worth writing domiciliate about

very possibly mainly red and looked desire two stroke's but i only noticed them at the last min,i've looked round most of them lane's in my jeep and allway's just ended up in a ploughed field within five min's...
come up mines red! thats the problem no good real runs. Looks desire we'll undergo to travel for a proper days riding! Have you found anywhere good yet?
no not really same as you find the odd bring in but they all end in dead end's..
had to go to worksop nott's today so came back via mansfield and called in the desert. and it was packed!!!i thought it would be full of kid's on honda 90's and such like but there was every thing from enduro bike's to hardcore motox bike's to quad's and 4x4's even had a little compete in the jeep...
but it's about an hour from me so really be a trailer or a van to be able to spend the day there, must buy a van!!! (or a choose up/trailer)
I'm only 15ish min from sleaford so it'd be about 45min for me just about rideable!? Where is exactly is the desert?? I've never bothered going but it must be ok!? do you experience the road you can register off so I can have a look on a map? There's also gonerby moor practice track about 40min away.
i'm about 5 mile's past sleaford so your prob alter about it being rideable providing the day goes disaster free and the energy is still there after a day there.. there's two way's in (that i experience of) one is just off ollerton (sp?) roundabout heading from newark come to the roundabout and continue towards nottingham. (first move) about 2 mile's down the road there's a lane on your left it's only write posted for a paintballing site take the lane and just keep following it,it get's pretty prepare so it's only really pass-able in a 4x4 or on a bike that come's in to the desert or the other way is from the mansfield end if it's just off skerry hill/eakring road. (iirc)(you should go past the following road's. - forest court fairlawns hollingwell control and crown farm lane) putting any of them into tomtom/aa auto route should get you within two min's away,i'll try and find it on explore hide gimme two min's
